Something to look forward to as the nights are drawing in. This years Killaloe Festival of Light takes place Thursday 23rd October. As part of it I will be running workshops in giant lantern making, and facilitating the making of a ghost viking ship to light up the waters by the historic bridge joining Killaloe and Ballina. All adults are welcome to attend the workshops which are provided by LCETB. Workshop times are as follows:

Spent a lovely day at Lough Boora on Sunday where a remembrance and celebration was held for Jean Conroy, one of the founders of the Hedge School Artists, who sadly passed away this year. The other founding member Tom Meskell inspired everyone and we gathered flowers, leaves, peat and twigs and created a series of artworks in her memory, the focal one being a representation of Bailey, Jean's lovely dog.

An ongoing weekly art class designed to give participants the building blocks of techniques and approaches to making art. Through a 6 week course we will cover observation, line and form, expressive mark making, composition, colour mixing and tone.
