Inspiration from Hedgeschool Artists

Spent a lovely day at Lough Boora on Sunday where a remembrance and celebration was held for Jean Conroy, one of the founders of the Hedge School Artists, who sadly passed away this year. The other founding member Tom Meskell inspired everyone and we gathered flowers, leaves, peat and twigs and created a series of artworks in her memory, the focal one being a representation of Bailey, Jean's lovely dog. Art for Young People

Saturday afternoons starting Sept 20th Art for Young People, 6 week term 2 pm - 4 pm Suitable for 13 years + Capparoe, Scariff €90-  Basic Materials included Art sessions totally dedicated to young people who really want to develop their art skills in an environment with others. Saturdays starting Sept 20th Kids Art Club for 6 weeks 10.30 am – 12 pm Capparoe, Scariff €75-  All Materials included Saturday morning creativity designed specifically for 8 - 12 year olds! We will focus on a wide range of art skills from drawing and painting to design and construction. Children will be encouraged to explore their own ideas whilst learning the skills to deliver them. Fused Glass Jewellery Workshop

Sunday 27th July 2 til 5 pm @ Capparoe, Scariff, Co. ‘What’s Left Behind’

'What's Left Behind' Art Exhibition by Emma Stewart-Liberty and myself. Taking place at Clare Museum in Ennis, June 7th to 28th. Opening reception Sat June 7th 12 - 2 pm, All Welcome. Taking as their theme “what’s left behind” this exhibition brings together the work of two Clare based artists, Nathalie El Baba and Emma Stewart-Liberty. Nathalie’s work looks at the narrative of people’s lives, reflecting on the physical evidence of emigration represented by the empty bedrooms and left objects of Ireland’s young generation. Stained Glass Weekend

Sat & Sun 12th-13th July 10 am - 5 pm both days Capparoe, Scariff €165-  Materials and lunch included A 2 day workshop designed to give you a good understanding of the basic techniques of copperfoil and glass construction through making a stained glass panel.
