A recent mural I painted in a private house. They wanted it to bring a sense of the garden life outside into their large hallway, so when they come downstairs in the morning they are greeted with a bright and summery scene.
Well time to get keep my head down away from distractions, the date is set (Sept 8th) for my next solo show.
Lots done but more to do. Am itching to get cracking after a busy few months on other projects.

A full weekend of mosaic encompassing all the stages from design, application of tesserae, and grouting. Plenty of room for experimentation, playing with colour and shape, and great for activating those problem solving brain cells!

I was recently asked by the local drama group, Sliabh Aughty Drama, if I could help them out with some props for their production of 'The Salvage Shop', a play set in a stained glass workshop. They needed a piece based on the Stations of the Cross. The final term of art classes for 2014 are up and running starting back with the popular Tuesday evening mixed art class. Students are working with a variety of subjects and mediums, some taking inspiration from the beautiful autumn leaves as seen in this lovely study.
The 5th annual Young People’s Art Exhibition takes place in Scariff Library from 30th Oct until 22nd Nov. Over the years this exhibition has given a platform to many young people to display their creative talents and led on to other youth art events in the area. There is an open theme to the work submitted, and all mediums are welcome, in the past this has seen film, poetry, drawing, painting, textile, sculpture and street art included.
