Taking as their theme “what’s left behind” this exhibition brings together the work of two Clare based artists, Nathalie El Baba and Emma Stewart-Liberty. Nathalie’s work looks at the narrative of people’s lives, reﬂecting on the physical evidence of emigration represented by the empty bedrooms and left objects of Ireland’s young generation.

A 2 day workshop designed to give you a good understanding of the basic techniques of copperfoil and glass construction through making a stained glass panel. Using a range of beautiful coloured glass each participant will be supported to work from their own choice of design, through the several stages involved, to bring their craftwork to completion. Through the session we will cover use of tools, design and process, and you will gain practical experience through cutting, grinding, copper-foiling and soldering your own piece.

A lovely day totally focused on oil painting.
Get hands on with oils! This rich medium has a tangible quality that allows us to get really physical with it. Starting with exercises to familiarise you in mixing mediums and the tools used in application of oils, we will then move on to working towards completing a small painting. This session is fully guided but with plenty of room and encouragement for your own creativity!

Two great exhibitions on at the moment. The first is Diva at The Friar's gate Theatre in Kilmallock, County Limerick. Put together by Limerick Artist Clare Hartigan it is a group show bringing together many Limerick visual artists with a wide range of subject matter. The other is Dídier/Home by Dublin artist Eoin Mac Lochlainn, taking place at the newly reopened Belltable Theatre (now 69 O'Connell Street). A stunning art exhibition taking place at the moment in Mullingar by the very talented Patsy Preston. An ongoing weekly art class designed to give participants the building blocks of techniques and approaches to making art. Through a 6 week course we will cover observation, line and form, expressive mark making, composition, colour mixing and tone.
