Art sessions totally dedicated to young people who really want to develop their art skills in an environment with others. We will cover a range of elements including tone and shading, proportion, observation, colour mixing, design and mark making whilst becoming familiar with, and experimenting with, different mediums. This course is designed to build confidence in ability and an open approach to art making.

Saturday morning creativity designed specifically for 8 - 12 year olds!
We will focus on a wide range of art skills from drawing and painting to design and construction. Children will be encouraged to explore their own ideas whilst learning the skills to deliver them. This class offers a fun, social and supportive environment to gain knowledge and confidence in art making.

Weekly art class for 6 weeks
10 am – 12 pm or 7 pm - 9 pm

An ongoing weekly art class designed to give participants the building blocks of techniques and approaches to making art. Through a 6 week course we will cover observation, line and form, expressive mark making, composition, colour mixing and tone. Becoming familiar with these principles really helps to build confidence in creating your own art.

'What's Left Behind' Art Exhibition by Emma Stewart-Liberty and myself.
Taking place at Clare Museum in Ennis, June 7th to 28th.

Taking as their theme “what’s left behind” this exhibition brings together the work of two Clare based artists, Nathalie El Baba and Emma Stewart-Liberty. Nathalie’s work looks at the narrative of people’s lives, reﬂecting on the physical evidence of emigration represented by the empty bedrooms and left objects of Ireland’s young generation.

A 2 day workshop designed to give you a good understanding of the basic techniques of copperfoil and glass construction through making a stained glass panel. Using a range of beautiful coloured glass each participant will be supported to work from their own choice of design, through the several stages involved, to bring their craftwork to completion. Through the session we will cover use of tools, design and process, and you will gain practical experience through cutting, grinding, copper-foiling and soldering your own piece.

Oil Painting Class

A lovely day totally focused on oil painting.
Get hands on with oils! This rich medium has a tangible quality that allows us to get really physical with it. Starting with exercises to familiarise you in mixing mediums and the tools used in application of oils, we will then move on to working towards completing a small painting. This session is fully guided but with plenty of room and encouragement for your own creativity!
