This year sees the 25th anniversary of the Mountshannon Arts Festival.
Despite the pandemic the organisers and volunteers have kept the festival rolling, with a mix of online and live, non-crowded, events. It will return in September for hopefully many live celebrations of the arts in this East Clare community.
Three local artists, myself included, were commissioned to paint a sign each for the festival. My design took me down an avenue full of decision making! I may have forgotten to keep it simple… but it was great to have something creative to keep me busy during the dark winter months.
Below is a link to a beautiful film shown during the festival, shot during the first lockdown by local artist, Rowan Noonan Ganley.
