Since 2009 I have been a regular artist collaborator with many schools around the county and further afield, working through different Arts in Education Programmes, including: Clare Arts Artist in Schools, Teacher Artist Partnership, BLAST, Creative Engagement, and Creative Schools.
These programmes promote expression and participation through collaborative engagement, and imaginative exploration. The children and young people are given the opportunity to develop their confidence in art making, the use of tools, creative collaboration and problem solving, completion and presentation of work and reflective evaluation. The sessions are always a wonderful mix of creativity and fun, and a highlight in my working year.
